Features
- Rauen Environmental Heat Engine - The Superclassical heat engine of Ken Rauen is designed to be able to tap the heat of the environment for energy generation. It is based upon the experimental evidence of the Proell effect, a macroscopic Maxwell’s Demon.
- Five of the Most Promising Clean Energy Technologies (http://pesn.com/2006/10/16/9500427_Rauen_top_five/) - See what clean energy technology expert, Ken Rauen, recommended to a financial consultant in Milano, Italy, looking for suggestions of where to direct some major funding. (PESN; Oct. 16, 2006)
Brief Bio
Ken has hands-on experience with cold fusion, aether energy, and advanced thermodynamics. The advanced thermo is his primary area of investigation.
Ken has been issued US patent, 6,698,200 (http://patft.uspto.gov/netacgi/nph-Parser?Sect1=PTO2&Sect2=HITOFF&p=1&u=/netahtml/search-bool.html&r=1&f=G&l=50&co1=AND&d=ptxt&s1=6,698,200&OS=6,698,200&RS=6,698,200) B1 (March 4, 2004), for a super-Carnot heat engine. The research behind this "perpetual motion machine of the second kind" has been published in Infinite Energy (http://www.infinite-energy.com/) magazine, Issue #52 (http://www.infinite-energy.com/iemagazine/issue52/index.html). Ken has experimentally verified a macroscopic Maxwell's Demon, what Ken calls the Proell effect. Two mathematical proofs are publicly available to back up the theory and experimental evidence.
Ken has written several articles for IE over the years and has provided peer review of manuscripts and of inventions brought to NERL/CFTI/NEF.
Ken worked closely with the late Gene Mallove (http://www.pureenergysystems.com/obituaries/2004/EugeneMallove/index.html) in a laboratory together, and listed him as his primary reference at the time he came aboard PES in November, 2003.
Energy Snapshot
I have been in the field of frontier physics alternative energy for a few years and was the Laboratory Manager and a Research Scientist at New Energy Research Laboratory in Bow, New Hampshire. I worked primarily with cold fusion and replicated Roger Stringham's sonofusion, a distant cousin to Taleyharkan's deuterated acetone ultrasonic cavitation at ORNL. Stringham's cavitation of heavy water is a boundary layer process against certain metals, involving solid state physics, not plasma physics in cavitation bubbles in the bulk of the liquid like ORNL. Key Papers
- Carnot Excedence -- Patent and Mathematical Proofs (http://pureenergysystems.com/academy/CarnotExcedence/) - Super-efficient thermodynamic exchange possible. Ken would like to see this theoretical model developed into a working prototype.
