Founding member; since Sept. 30, 2005.

Experience in the field of Alt Energy
Study of Viktor Schauberger's work and of a rumoured super-efficient water turbine (first reported by Herbrand) at the Rheinfelden hydroelectric power plant. Two articles summarizing my understanding of the yet unused potential for water's vortex action in power generation. Have monitored the alternative energy scene for two decades with emphasis on magnets, hydrogen, direct space-energy conversion and similar technologies.
Education
Not related to physics or energy in any way, my formal education is in commerce and tourism, but I have always been close to motors and machines.

Brief Bio

Born in 1949 in Germany, in the Bavarian Alps region, my education was oriented towards commerce and tourism. Only after moving to Rome in the early 1980's did I get seriously interested in questions of physics and energy. After reading Hans Nieper's book documenting an energy technology congress in Hannover, Germany in November 1980 and a similar one in Toronto in October 1981, I attended an alternative physics congress organized by Prof. Umberto Bartocci in Italy (1989) and some years later a similar event in St. Petersburg in Russia. Much of my study centered on Viktor Schauberger and his view that vortex phenomena could and should revolutionize our current fossil-fuel-burning heat based technologies. Several articles I wrote during the 1990s were published in Journals at the time (raum&zeit, EXPLORE!), and are available on my site: http://www.hasslberger.com.

Energy Snapshot

I did a fair amount of research into the possible configuration of rumored super-efficient hydropower turbines (Schauberger, Herbrand) and published some articles about them, but had no possibility for direct experimentation.

Keeping an eye on developments in the alternative energy field, I acquired a good overview over what is there, what's been suppressed and what might work for changing our energy dependence on oil and other hydrocarbons into energy abundance.
