I have a 2003 Kia Spectra (base) model with 50,000 miles (roughly). I have already notice a mileage difference from usual average 28-29 (without acetone) to 32-34 (with acetone). I am currently using the 2.5 oz to 10 gal/gas ratio. I currently ran it with a couple of tanks, here are the results so far:
From a cold start-up no rough idle (which was quite normal on cold mornings without acetone), more power and smoother power-band under heavy acceleration and coasting, and especially more power with mountain driving.
There is a big difference now during the hot summer days when the AC is blasting with acetone being used. Without the acetone, with the AC on, and when the car starts to accelerate from a deadstop the car would hesitate badly and almost stall due to the idle compensation of the AC. With the Acetone I notice almost no stall with ac on and the car full of people!
From the old school mechanic trick I have learned over years I did this (with acetone in system/tank): With the car idling at almost operating temperature I placed my hand over the exhaust pipe (DO NOT TOUCH ANY EXHAUST UNLESS IT IS COOL TO TOUCH) and let the exhaust gases puff on my palm. When I touched my palm and smelled it there was no exhaust gas residue or moisture. My exhaust has always been a little on the rich side with a little excess of unburned gas.
