Dr. Steven Green has launched a new non-profit research foundation named The Orion Project to develop new, out-of-the-box energy solutions.

The Orion Project was founded to bring together highly accomplished scientists, researchers, inventors and thinkers who have expertise in advanced energy generation and propulsion technologies. Their goal is to develop bold new energy generation technologies within the next two years that will completely replace the need for oil, gas, coal and nuclear power.

As a 501(c)3, non-profit organization, their present goal is to raise $3 million dollars in donations in the next 60 days (by May 16, 2008) [1] to support their budget, which includes salary for a team of 12 full-time engineers and inventors, along with other support personnel as well as a research facility. The campaign was launched by a pledge for $250,000 contingent on the full $3 million being raised.

An March 17, 2008 newsletter from Greer said that "this capital fund raising campaign is to enable these promising clean-technology energy researchers to be brought together in one place to build the initial proof of principle prototype to help solve the energy crisis once and for all."

For many years, Greer has been seeking to locate a technology that the previous groups he has founded (SEAS Power, AERO) could help take to market. SEAS Power offered a $1 million dollar prize for such a technology. AERO bumped that to $5 million. [2] Apparently after all these years, either no one has brought forth a technology that meets Greer's criteria, or the terms of Greer's operation have not been satisfactory to any inventors or their groups. So now Greer is establishing this new, creative body to come up with the technology themselves that they've not been able to find accessible elsewhere in their searching.

"In the past 18 years, our team has developed a database of scientific advances in new, clean tech energy systems that, if properly funded and supported, have the potential to completely revolutionize how we generate energy. These breakthroughs in physics -- so-called Zero Point Energy, electro-gravitic propulsion and other systems -- have, up to this point [in some cases], been developed and hidden in illegally classified projects in the US, UK and elsewhere. The Orion Project has identified the most qualified brain-trust of scientists and inventors who understand this new science, and are ready to come together to help solve the energy and environmental crisis facing humanity today."

"If 100,000 people contribute $30 each in the next 60 days, we will be able to open this new energy research facility and bring together some of the best minds on the planet to help solve our critical energy needs."

Orion free energy inventors threatened; pull out - In an update statement, the Orion Project alleges a series of external events that led to their contracted inventor to pull out under pressure from a former CIA director. A couple of other inventors who were likewise threatened and pulled away. Orion announced a database of inventor and suppressor information that will be released in the event that something should happen to one of their directors. (The Orion Project; May 13, 2010)

  • Clean Energy Research Continues - In one test, the Pulsed Motor Generator successfully powered an 18 pound metal rotor at a steady speed of 1500 rpm with as little as 25 watts of input power. In another configuration, our inventors achieved a steady run of 5+ hours continuous operation without component failure of any kind. These tests have shown once again the opportunities that exist with these ingenious new technologies. (Orion Project; August 12, 2008)

Dr. Steven Greer, an emergency physician, is the Founder and Director of AERO (Advanced Energy Research Organization) and The Orion Project.

He has worked for 17 years to bring together the scientists, inventors and leaders in society to advance new clean technology energy systems. He is considered one of the world's foremost authorities on the strategic process of transforming our carbon-based civilization to a long-term sustainable civilization using innovative sciences and technology.

He has written several books. The most recent "Hidden Truth - Forbidden Knowledge" is his personal memoir which describes his journey in bringing out this information.

Over the years he has briefed top level CIA, Pentagon, government and corporate leaders in the US and around the world and has built mainstream support for alternative energy systems, some of which have existed since the early 1900s. He has been heard in interviews worldwide with his message of hope that these energy systems can soon be available worldwide. His goal is to assist in the creation of a sustainable, peaceful civilization on Earth that is both high tech and in harmony with the environment.

New energy ideas are under study - Recently, The Orion Project, submitted an important energy research and development proposal to President Barack Obama and the U.S. Congress. The document provides background information about energy-producing technologies that are outside the awareness and attention of most mainstream scientists and engineers.
