Hi Gang,

If you check the [PHOTOS section] you will find my version of SEBCAR Version 1 that I built tonight. Only difference from Schematic is a 2200 uf across output of multiplier section and a single 1000uf across the battery input.

It oscillates fine, can make it get that twitter and watching on scope, I see a funky Osc. across the coil. I only get about a volt or two rise around 22-23 volts on the output of the multiplier cap when this occurs.

All voltages are about what MCharley states, the only problem I see is with the 47-ohm feedback resistor and the 24V Zener and about a 12-volt drop across that resistor to a 12-volt source, that comes to about .25 amp. Unless I can the twitter below .25 amps, it will not self run.

LOTS more to test and try.

I'm just getting started and having fun.

Hi MCharley,

Thanks for the complete schematic. It is as described, just was a lot of confusion initially.

I still don't understand the need for the CCC circuit in just the self run mode as it does not terminate or feedback anywhere in the circuit except for adding additional Cap. across the battery before the diodes feeding the inductor/cap circuits.

Also thanks for the ferite coil info on the schematic.

Have everything to build, will let group know when finished.
