Motor Description: This electromagnetic engine has an inner rotor and an outer rotor having magnets of opposite polarity mounted thereon. Wilts Eletromagnetic Motor

The patented Wilts electromagnetic motor allegedly puts out more energy than is required to run it, implying that it is somehow harnessing unseen energy from the environment. Wilt's Clean Energy, Inc. is in process of optimizing the effect, and hopes to soon configure it to self-power, with energy left over for practical use.

Recent measurements showed around 3/4 horsepower being produced via 1/2 HP in. The input was electrical, in the form of around 2.6 amps, 230 volts; and the output was measured by a pony brake, and measured 10 foot-pounds spinning at 390 rpm. These results are not accurate enough to satisfy a skeptic. The device is presently (May, 2008) being reviewed by Georgia Tech University.

The inventors have been working on this for nearly 30 years.

Costs

Due to the complexity of the device versus the energy output, initially (if they are able to turn this into an energy producer), the energy costs would probably be quite high compared to the cost of solar and other renewables.

Independent Testing

Georgia Tech University will be conducting the actual testing of the energy input/output.

In October 2005, Inventor Herman Wilt filed an application with the United States Patent Office to secure patent approval for the breakthrough in power generation that ultimately will dramatically reduce the demand for traditional fuel sources.
