The Cleantech Capital Summit is an ambitious, major event that will be the first to bring together decision-makers from across the cleantech and energy technology industry and leading capital providers to delve into the full range of financing the energy and clean technologies industry – from seed financing of nascent inventors, venture financing of emerging-stage companies through international and cross-industry joint ventures, from first commercial demonstration to utility scale project development and finally to IPO, PIPEs and beyond. In short, the Summit will be a truly unique opportunity for these diverse groups to connect, tap into the inside track and advance successful cleantech financing.

Despite the recent turmoil in credit and financial markets, vast sums of capital are amassed to flow into energy and clean technologies across technologies, industries, geographies, and conventional financing regimes. The diverse sources of this capital have realized that a unique cocktail of catalysts have created a once-in-a-generation opportunity to drive technological change, address carbon challenges, and earn significant returns. For cleantech companies and capital sources to fully capitalize on this historic opportunity, however, they will need to build well-informed financial relationships and new financial structures to facilitate capital deployment and allow cleantech companies to tap into the appropriate financial sources. This need for information and collaboration is more important than ever given the current state of traditional credit and financial markets.

The Summit will be the first event to focus on the capital itself, the financial structures, and the cutting edge of what will be financed and how. The most knowledgeable investors, financiers and technology developers in the cleantech and alternative energy space will engage in a series of dynamic and interactive panels that will focus on where cleantech money is really coming from, what the investment criteria is for each type of investor, where the money is going and why, and how the money is being spent.
