PES Network free energy news and directory service passing the hat - If you appreciate the news, directory, and networking service we provide, perhaps you could chip in and help us pull through a skinny time. (PESN; Sept. 6, 2009) [Thanks to all those who have contributed in the past month. Still haven't reached our goal.]

Plasma orbital expansion theory for Brown's gas - Chris Eckman of Idaho State University presents an overview of his theory of how Brown's gas is electrical in nature. This precocious undergrad proposes a new isomer of water, something that lands a Nobel prize on more seasoned academics. (PESN; Nov. 23, 2009) (Comment)
- Electrolysis > HybridTech >
HybridTech posts demo video of "200% Efficient" water fuel cell by Dr. Steve Eaton - Dr. Eaton's HHO cell is shown making 1 liter of hydroxy gas in 12 seconds drawing 12 volts, 23.6 amps. This is an update of the technology we announced last week that is open sourcing their design. (PESWiki; Nov. 23, 2009)
- Piezoelectric >
Generating electricity from air flow - A group of researchers at the City College of New York are developing a piezoelectric device, which when placed in the wake of a cylinder -- such as on the back of a truck -- the flow of air will cause the devices to vibrate in resonance. On the roof of car, they will shake in a much more unsteady flow known as a turbulent boundary layer. (EScienceNews; Nov. 22, 2009)

The thrilling potential of SixthSense technology - At TEDIndia, Pranav Mistry demos several tools that help the physical world interact with the world of data. His prototypes bring futuristic, science fiction computer technology into the present. In an onstage Q&A, Mistry says he'll open-source the software behind SixthSense, to open its possibilities to all. (TED; Nov. 2009)

- Featured: Noble Gas Engines > PlasmERG >
PlasmERG noble gas engine patent accepted - An update on one of the companies that claims to have an engine that runs on noble gas. The fuel is essentially free, and the simple engine would be cheaper than the engines it would be replacing. New testing and development facility announced. (PESN; Nov. 21, 2009) (Comment)
- Waste to Energy > Waste Heat Generators / Thermal Electric >
Harnessing waste heat to produce electricity - In experiments involving a new technology, thermal diodes, an MIT research team has been able to demonstrate efficiency as high as 40 percent of the Carnot Limit, with calculations showing that this new system could ultimately reach as much as 90 percent of that ceiling. See the team's paper, "Quantum-coupled single-electron thermal to electric conversion scheme". (GizMag; November 19, 2009)

Europe Testing "Road Trains" to Cut Fuel Use - In the Safe Road Trains for the Environment (SARTRE) system up to 8 vehicles (cars, busses, trucks) would travel as one "train," linked by wireless sensors, cutting fuel use by 20%. The lead "train", driven by a professional, would enable the trailing vehicles' drivers to become "passengers", able to take their hands off the wheel -- and they could come and go as they please . Forms & guides for 20-foot wide parabolic earth bag vault - More correspondence with Owen Geiger, professional earth bag builder about cautions and mechanics of building. Also, some earlier correspondence in which I mull over the impossibility of building an earth bag home for my family of 6 in just one month in the Spring, then realize that I'll have to plan on purchasing the materials, then build. MYT engine to be demonstrated to Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) - Inventor Raphial Morgado has been invited as a guest speaker a the Oregon chapter of SAE to discuss and demonstrate his Massive Yet Tiny (MYT) engine next March. Also working on building 5.5-inch versions to demonstrate this 40x power-to-weight ratio engine. (PESN; Nov. 19, 2009) (Comments)
- Fuel Efficiency > Hydroxy >
Hydrogen power or just hot air? - Bill Jenner, a lifetime auto mechanic from Australia, claims to have reduced his fuel consumption by up to 75% by an on-board electrolysis unit that he put together from plans downloaded online. The unit ducts hydroxy gas (hydrogen-oxygen mixture) into the air intake of his vehicle catalyzing a more efficient burn of the fuel. (EchoNews au; Nov. 19, 2009)

China quietly introduces new financial system - "China has stealthily introduced a new financial system based on the renminbi which is well on its way to becoming fully convertible, according to a high-level Chinese source. In addition, China is purchasing 10,000 tons of gold to back up a new fund designed to develop and market heretofore forbidden and suppressed technologies." (Benjamin Fulford; Nov. 17, 2009)

News by Topic
Recently, we have begun posting news bullets to the various main directory pages of relevance, rather than just to the sup-pages where they are most applicable. For example, a story about photovoltaics will go both on the photovoltaics page as well as the solar news page. Here are a few of the pages that are being updated most frequently.
