The Top 100 Clean Energy Technologies will be on display at the Environmental Hall of Fame in Chicago, Illinois on Nov, 20-22, 2008, and in the National Green Museum for a year thereafter.
A New Energy Congress prioritized listing of the very best energy technologies according to ten criteria, including: renewable, environmentally safe, affordable, credible, reliable, developed, and safe (among others). The New Energy Congress is an association for the purpose of reviewing the most promising claims to up-and-coming clean, renewable, affordable, reliable energy technologies, in order to come up with a weighted list of recommendations of the best technologies.
Since April, 2006, the New Energy Congress has been systematically voting on the following energy technologies, reviewing a new technology every few days, and weighing it against the criteria they established. Last update - May 18, 2008.
NOTE: The Top 100 list is in constant flux, so please don't designate the current position on the list of your company, on either the Top 20 or Top 100, because it will change within 30 days. This is not a static list. It is dynamic and constantly changing.

First, a note about VECTOR and RASTER files: When you use PESN graphics, it's important to use the best file format and type for the job. There are two primary kinds of graphics: Vector and Raster. Vector graphics are shapes defined mathematically. They can scale infinitely up or down without losing resolution. Raster formats are defined by pixels. They have limits to their scalability, but have the ability to represent thousands of colors...something vector formats weren't designed to do really. If you're working with a printing press, graphic designer, screen printer or sign maker, they should know what format best meets the need. If for some reason they cannot get the file for themselves from the links below, you may want to read on.
Vector file formats can be opened by Adobe Illustrator and CorelDraw, among other applications. Vector formats are best used when large graphics are needed (automobile graphics, billboards, etc.) and "solid-color" applications, like most screen-printing and cut-vinyl decals. Some AI, CDR EPS, WMF and PDF files are vector formats, but they may contain raster elements.
For "continuous-tone" thousand-color images, raster (pixel) files are used typically. File formats include: JPG, BMP, PNG, PSD, GIF and others. Use these formats when reproducing photographs, for instance. With raster graphics, you must pay attention to DPI - "Dots-per-inch" because this number indicates the density of pixels and will determine how large you can print/display a graphic without losing quality. A rule-of-thumb for raster graphics when printing to a typical inkjet printer: 150-300 DPI @ 100% size. Billboards and newspapers are lower resolutions, slick color magazines higher.
