E-Cat 3rd Party Test Results Released; Report Pending - Key findings: 3.2-3.6 times overunity 32 days continuous, and an isotopic signature of nickel and lithium was found to have changed substantially. Academic authors conclude, “Even in the most conservative scenarios, we have values that allow us to conclude that the reactor studied here may not be considered a conventional source of energy.” (Free Energy Blog; October 8, 2014)

H-Cat output gas goes to zero - In measuring the gas after the catalytic converter, we discovered that at first the rate is nearly the same as the incoming gas, then it drops to zero and goes to vacuum as some kind of reaction commences. We also tested the flammability of the exiting gas, and it does not ignite. (PESN; April 30, 2014)

H-Cat amp meter vindication - Comparing the Fluke meter to a DC clamp-on meter and an analogue meter, I show that the Fluke does indeed measure DC current accurately once calibrated, even though the display says: "AC"; and that its readout is slightly higher than the DC clamp-on meter, which pushes our efficiency even higher, to 79%, well above the 64% max that classical science predicts for electrolysis and catalysis. [See correction; and second story.] (PESN; April 26, 2014)

  • Check my math on H-Cat calorimetry - I hope you'll see that I've given a strong rebuttal to the claim that the clamp-on amp meter results should be thrown out because the meter was on the wrong setting. Sterling Allan's H-Cat Heater Design - I propose to 1) remove the outer insulation layer from the catalytic converter... and 2) replace it with a metal sleeve that leaves a gap of about 1/16 inch between the matrix and the exterior. That way most of the gas flows along the surface of the matrix, along the exterior, where you want the heat. (PESWiki; March 15, 2014)

Justin Church's H-Cat - In January, Justin launched an open source design he instigated that involves venting hydroxy or HHO gas -- un-ignited -- through a catalytic converter (the kind used in automobiles) -- in ambient conditions -- and generating significant heat in the process, which is probably LENR, given its platinum/palladium in the presence of energetic H (Brown's Gas). (PESWiki; March 9, 2014)
  • Hot Fusion finally breaks even -- far, far behind "cold fusion" - Meanwhile, "cold fusion" or LENR as it is now more frequently called, still mislabeled "junk science" by mainstream science, achieved overunity long ago, and the leading companings bringing it to market are in the region of 6-10x. (Free Energy Blog; February 14, 2014)
  • Christopher Strevens' Transfusor a nuclear variant of Kapanadze? - The Kapanadze device takes its energy from the nuclear reaction of the nuclear fusion of deuterium in air. I am attempting to construct a similar device. He uses air at NTP with huge coils, probably RF, thus generating conducting plasma inside the winding. I use low pressure air ionized by a plasma generator that is turned off once the reaction starts. Neutrons are generated by the d+d > He+n reaction. (Free Energy Blog; February 13, 2014)
