  • Waste to Energy > Download (13 mb; mp3) - Paul Pabor, VP of Renewable Energy, Waste Management, the company that comes around to haul off garbage, is increasingly turning some of that garbage into energy -- enough to power over one million homes -- the equivalent of 14 million barrels of oil per year or 3.6 million tons of coal. And the company has a goal to double that amount to 2 million homes by 2020. (PESN; Dec. 10, 2007)

  • Suppression > UFO Secrecy Implicates Clean Energy Tech Sequestering - The Disclosure Project reports that government insiders have revealed the existence of a shadowy, highly classified, $100 billion/year program related to UFOs, including energy and propulsion systems that could solve the energy crisis. (PESN; Nov. 17, 2007)
  • Organizations / Awards > Advanced Energy Research Organization (AERO) - Steven Greer, founder of the Disclosure Project, is a leading expert on UFO suppression and associated advanced, clean energy technology sequestration. AERO was established to protect and launch a revolutionary energy technology that meets the screening criteria of 'self-running with at least 1 kW of usable electricity.' (PESN; Nov. 11, 2007)

October 2007

  • Bluewater > Statkraft to build world's first osmotic power plant - Osmotic power, feasible where fresh waters meet salty, could contribute around 1,600 TWh on a global basis annually. First plant, by Norwegian company, putting out just 2-4 kW, is expected by the end of 2008. The technology could become competitive within a decade. (PESN; Oct. 7, 2007)

September 2007

  • Magnet Motors > Running Magnet Motors Witnessed - Four of twenty New Energy Congress members who responded to a week-long poll said they had personally witnessed a magnet motor in operation in which magnets were the only motive force. A follow-up poll is being prepared for the general public. (PESN; Sept. 28, 2007)

August 2007

  • Solar > Citizenre > Is the Sun Rising or Setting on Citizenre Solar? - Company that intends to rent out solar power at rates competitive with local utilities has announced its financial team, though it has not yet secured financing, and may not be able to given the present credit crunch. (PESN; Aug. 22, 2007)
  • Tide > FreeFlow 69 > Osprey Ocean Turbine Progresses Toward Commissioning - A small team of engineers in Cornwall has made a breakthrough with the development of a turbine, called the Osprey, that they claim could solve the commercial viability of tidal power. The Osprey turbine can be used to create electricity offshore at sea or in tidal rivers and inland waterways. (PESN; Aug. 17, 2007)

July 2007

  • Movies / Water Fuel > Hollywood Producer Talks About Water Fuel Filming - Chris Patton, of Dark Horse Entertainment and Zero Point Films, describes his experiences over the past ten years documenting various water fuel technologies, including GEET and Brown's Gas, leading up to his present feature documentary film now in production. (PESN; March 11, 2007) [released July 30]
  • Magnet Motors > Steorn > Orbo Free Energy Demo Has Botched Start - Widely publicized pending demo of Steorn's free energy prototype at the Kinetica Museum in London, promised to be streamed live around the world, opens with the device not working and a no-show on the Orbo demo site. (PESN; July 5, 2007)

June 2007

  • Thermal Electric > A Sound Way to Turn Heat into Electricity - University of Utah physicists developed small devices that turn heat into sound and then into electricity via piezoelectric conversion. The technology holds promise for changing waste heat into electricity, harnessing solar energy and cooling computers and radars. (PESN; May 5, 2007)

May 2007

  • Hydrogen > Purdue Process Generates Hydrogen from Aluminum Alloy - Water added to aluminum mixed with Gallium can produce hydrogen on demand. As a catalyst, the Gallium is not consumed. The oxidized aluminum can be recycled. The process is close to being cost competitive with petrol. (PESN; May 17, 2007)

April 2007

  • Nanotechnology > Nanogenerator Provides Continuous Direct Current - Researchers have demonstrated a prototype nanometer-scale generator that produces continuous direct-current electricity by harvesting mechanical energy from such environmental sources as ultrasonic waves, mechanical vibration or blood flow. (PESN; April 7, 2007)

March 2007

  • Global Warming > The Global Warming Swindle - Documentary produced in England destroys the arguments put forward by Al Gore and other activists who lay the primary blame for Global Warming at the feet of mankind. (PESN; March 19, 2007)
  • Tools > Crackpots and Genius - New energy pioneers are often also involved in pushing the envelop in other areas of life. Such involvement should not be shunned but should serve as a sign that someone is cut out to launch a revolutionary technology -- practiced at withstanding the heat. (PESN; Mar. 8; 2007)

February 2007

  • Political Action > Promoting New Energy in D.C. - New Energy Movement vice president, Steve Kaplan, recently returned from spending a month and a half briefing various Congressional offices regarding new energy technologies and promoting legislation that would support new energy. (PESN; Feb. 25, 2007)
  • SEG > Searl Proof of Concept Video Posted - Mock-up completion marks the first time since 1963 that a roller has rotated about a ring continuously. To be followed in a few months by a full 15 kW SEG generator capable of cheaply and safely producing electricity without fuel, pollution, friction, or noise. (PESN; Feb. 21, 2007)
  • Magnet Motors > Perendev > Perendev Magnet Motor History and Update (4:00 - 4:55 pm Mountain live) - Mike Brady has stirred the imagination of many thousands with his claim to an operational all-magnet motor, with no other input energy source than magnets, which cause rotation when arranged in a proper alignment. (PESN; Feb. 17, 2007)
  • Wind > Vertical Axis > TMA > Will TMA Wind Blow Away the Competition? - Vertical axis wind turbine technology with concentrating air foils enables TMA to compete with the best horizontal turbine costs at lower wind speeds, while the return on investment is even greater at higher wind speeds, where the horizontal turbines have to shut down. Other advantages are many. (PESN exclusive; Feb. 1, 2007)

January, 2007

  • Geothermal > MIT Releases Major Report on Geothermal Energy (Sat., Jan. 27, 6:00 - 6:55 pm Eastern, live) - A comprehensive new MIT-led study of the potential for geothermal energy within the United States has found that mining the huge amounts of heat that reside as stored thermal energy in the Earth's hard rock crust could supply a substantial portion of the electricity the United States will need in the future, probably at competitive prices and with minimal environmental impact. (PESN; Jan. 22, 2007)
  • Batteries / EV > EEStor > EEStor Announces Production Milestones - The first EEStor production line has been proven to meet quality control requirements and its key production chemicals have been certified.
