Plans for Replicatin Mylow's Magnet Motor Version 2.1
Plans for replicating "Version 2.1" of the Mylow Magnet Motor, as part of the open source project. This page is an adjunce to OS:MYLOW:Plans, where information is found about several of the common components such as the rotor disc, the bearing assembly, the stator assembly. You'll also want to refer to OS:MYLOW:Plans:Version 2.0, a close precursor to version 2.1
Verions 2.1 refers to the unit Mylow began showing in his instructional video series commencing May 9, 2009, using the rotor-stator assembly that "Bob" from Utah County sent him, and magnets that Sterling D. Allan sent him, culminating with achieving a working device on May 12, using those readily-available magnets. See video.

Mylow Posting How-To Instructional Videos for his All-Magnet Motor - Having received a new rotor-stator assembly and magnets that are off-the-shelf available, Mylow is now posting a series of instructional videos for people wanting to replicate his bar magnet motor. (PESWiki; May 10, 2009)

Runs with Just Six Rotor Magnets Using Available Magnets
In the 12th video in his Instructional Video series commenced May 9, 2009, Mylow and his twin brother, Tony, who is an engineer, show the device running with just 6 magnets on the rotor. After pushing the rotor magnets past an initial cog, they show the rotor pulling past the stator magnets with enough force to spin around and push through again, then again, picking up speed with each turn, before reaching an equilibrium speed.
- M2U00207 – video # 4 part 5. 6 bar magnet configuration (working smot device ) ???? next video will show all magnets on the rotor disk remember gaps are not the same on the rotor magnets. (YouTube by magneticmotor1; May 13, 2000)

ROTOR: Bar Magnets
Bar Magnets Used by Mylow
Mylow is using the CB-65 bar magnet from AllMagnetics.com
- CB-65 from http://AllMagnetics.com - Ceramic Blocks 3/8” x 3/8” x 1 7/8” (2 pcs). More accurately: 0.393" t, 0.400" w, 1.875" l. Ask for Felix and mention promotion code "PES" for a 5% discount.
- Same as item H at http://www.magnetsource.com/Consumer%20Pages/Ceramic_Mags.html (Part No. 07043)
- It turns out that these magnets are also available from Home Depot (SKU# 902262)
- EUROPEAN SOURCES
- http://e-magnetsuk.com/ - EP627 is the closest.
STATOR: Horseshoe Magnets
Horseshoe Magnets Used by Mylow
- The stator magnet that Sterling sent to Mylow, is an alnico magnet, part number HS811N from AllMagnetics.com (Ask for Felix and mention the promotion code "PES" to get a 5% discount)
- Also known as 07270 from http://MagnetSource.com
Alternative Horseshoe Magnets
- EUROPEAN SOURCES
- http://e-magnetsuk.com/ - MAG811 looks the same and has a similar serial number.

How does Mylow get his all-magnet motor to work? - Despite having posted a video showing his motor running using readily-available magnets, along with photos and caliper measurements of the spacing, no one yet has been able to replicate his work four days later. New information provided may change that soon? (PESN; May 16, 2009) (Comment at Examiner.com)
