Help:Starting a new page

There are two ways to create a new page: 1) enter the name in the address bar, or 2) create a link and click on it.

Two Methods
Method 1: Enter Name in Address Bar
To create a new page, merely enter the name you want for the page in the address bar after the preface "http://peswiki.com/index.php/", and hit enter. (We prefer that you use initial caps.)
You will then be taken to a page that says, "(There is currently no text in this page)".
Click on the "Edit" tab at the top of the page, enter your content, preview it, then save it.

Method 2: Create a Link and Click on it
A second way to create a new page is to build a link to it from an existing page. If the new page does not exist yet, then the link will appear red. When you click on it, a new page will open with an edit box open, prompting you to enter content. When you have done so, preview then save the page down. It's that simple.
Other Considerations
File Naming Guidelines
It is important that you follow our naming conventions, otherwise one of the sysops will be going in and renaming your page, which will create a forwarding address from the previous location. No harm done, but it is best to get it right the first time. If this is intimidating to you, don't worry about it; go ahead and build your page, and one of us can help tweak things to how they should be.
