Interview with Raser About Their Cost-Effective Geothermal Power - Company has a rapid-deployment capability for low-heat geothermal energy. The geothermal pipes are in a closed loop, tied to a heat exchanger that heats a refrigerant which runs a turbine, in a reverse-refrigeration system, generating electricity in a cost-effective manner. Raser is Rapidly Deploying Cost-Effective Geothermal Power - Instead of using electricity to turn a heat pump to cool a liquid, Raser runs a warmed liquid through a heat pump to generate electricity. With their rapid, low-cost deployment capability, they could maximize the U.S. geothermal capacity within ten years. (PESN; Sept. 4, 2008)

Killer Combination

This does look impressive – I like their no nonsense approach and use of off the shelf parts. Combine this modular approach with the immanent hydrogen jet drilling technology and you have a killer combination that could see an explosive expansion of geothermal power generation.
Outstanding!

This is how you power America...drop Pickens plan dead. This is the only thing that can use phase change gasses for low level heat exchange as well. This should be every one's focus.
I'm putting alot of focus on this in the film right now. I may pop out there to get a tour.
Good coverage.

Transonic Combustion's TSCi™ process boosts fuel efficiency by 50-75% - Transonic Combustion, a finalist in ARPA-E's Energy Innovation summit, has a proprietary process that involves a catalyst and bringing the fuel to the "supercritical state" prior to injection into the cylinders, so that no droplets remain, and essentially all the fuel is burned, not wasting any, while also reducing emissions.
