This page was commenced (belatedly) by Sterling D. Allan on October 21, 2012 and will be primarily updated by Sterling as well, to track the movement up and down of the Top 5 Exotic Free Energy Technologies and runners up. We hope to go back and pick up more of the key past developments.

The following two links will give you a comprehensive listing of all changes made to the Top 5 and Runners up pages. To compare before/after of any two sets, just click on the radio buttons of the two you want to compare (prior on left, later on right) then click on the "Compare Selected Versions" button near the top and bottom of the page. To see the page version for that date, just click on the time-dated link.

July 13, 2014

Moved Blacklight from #5 to #1 per this story, and backed up by a poll showing 57% in favor of them being in #1 position:

July 4, 2014

Moved SHT back into #1 position, due to their huge potential, even though they are a year from market. In the poll that I posted, so far, more than 50% of the respondents have put SHT in #1 position.

July 1, 2014

Built a "Best Hydroxy" index page and put it in #1 position. Moved Platinum Invests from position #4 to #6.

  • Featured / Top 5: Fuel Efficiency > Water > as Fuel > Hydroxy >
Best Hydroxy Technologies - A listing of technologies that use onboard electrolysis to create HHO/Brown's gas to add to the fuel to improve mileage. The ranking of "best" is based on 1) amount of power enhancement it provides, 2) credibility of claims, 3) stage of arrival in the marketplace, 4) affordable, 5) ease of installation, etc. (PESWiki; July 1, 2014)

May 25, 2014

Moved AG Energies from #5 to #6 inasmuch as they postponed their meeting tomorrow with Deggory and Gowtham.

Moved #6, YMNEE up to #5.

May 19, 2014

Moved Solar Hydrogen Trends from #1 to #7 due to this report:

Moved AG Energies into #5 due to this report and additional info received:

May 16, 2014

Put SHT as #1.

moved Evolution Energy down, due to delays

put this in position #5

February 11, 2014

Removed MidTech because the turbine design they were representing as theirs is identical to one being sold on eBay.

February 11, 2014

Moved MidTech into #2.

January 20, 2014

Moved Blacklight up

  • Featured / Best Exotics: Blacklight >
Randell Mills explains upcoming Blacklight Power demo - The proposed 10 MW device that would be 1 ft2, would entail a 60-toothed gear spinning at 200 rpm, making the water chamber size a few micro liters, lasting a millisecond, during which two electrodes would create a supersonic-expanding plasma that goes into a magnetohydrodyamic converter, then directly into electricity, cleanly, safely... (PESN; January 20, 2014)

Moved Valy Energystar down from #3 to #7

Brillouin is now in #5

January 13, 2014

I've put them in #2 position on the QMoGen page.

  • More info from MidTech - There isn't any HHO involved in this technology. It has a motor and generator and battery, so from what I can tell it's in the QMoGen ballpark. The unit weighs 150-175 lbs. As long as the load is under 2.5 kW, it is load-following. The grid-tie hook-up for this device will be identical to hooking up a wind or solar system. (Free Energy Blog; January 13, 2014)

January 12, 2014

Waiting for verification, but this could be a #1 contender.

  • Featured / Top 5: Electromagnetic > QMoGen >
Midtech Energy Black Box Power Station - On January 11, 2014, Doug Myers of Hutchinson, Kansas, USA, announced that his company, MidTech Energy Solutions LLC, has a 2.5 kW "black box" power system available for purchase for $6500, with a lead time of 2-3 weeks. He told me the interface is UL certified; and a grid-tie option is available. (PESWiki; January 12, 2014)

December 27, 2013

Added this one to runners up, near the top.

December 20, 2013

Moved Keshe up to #8 in runners up because of this development.

  • Keshe Foundations announces 3-4 kW generator success - Following the development and testing of new materials for space reactor technology for production of plasma in a non-nuclear reactor in the past months, the Keshe Foundation has achieved successful testing in creating and maintaining plasma in these new generation of reactors that we are satisfied to precede with the production of the power generators using the new phenomena. (Free Energy Blog; December 20, 2013)

November 13, 2013

  • moved this into #2 since they are now selling and licensing
    Featured: Electromagnetic > QMoGen > ValyEnergiStar >
ValyEnergiStar Posts Another QMoGen Demo Video - In this new video, Romanian inventor and entrepreneur, Valy does a walk-around prior to starting up his system from mains power, then disconnecting the power and flipping a switch so that the output from the generator keeps the drive motor turning. He then powers a welder and then a grinder. (PESN; November 10, 2013)
  • Moved Evolutions in Energy up to #4 since they are likely to beat E-Cat and Defkalion
  • Moved Steorn down to #8, behind Power JMD and ahead of Brillouin

November 12, 2013

  • Platinum Invests' QMoGen moved to #1 in Top 5 - We've received a draft copy of a pending brochure that Platinum Invests is about to release, lising the prices for the various E-Mag units from 3 kW to 500 kW, expected to be in full production early 2014. (Free Energy Blog; November 12, 2013)

November 6, 2013

Moved Evolucoes Energia of Brazil from #1 into #6 in runners up due to their not being as far along as we initially thought.

"This company is in a vulnerable stage right now. They are not equipped to handle the barrage of inquiries they have been receiving because of our coverage. They are not ready to entertain licensing. The local power company confiscated the first two devices they installed in homes for lack of proper UL-equivalent certifications. They've asked if I could remove this page, but instead, I'm posting this notice. Give them some breathing room. They are not bi-lingual. For now, they have enough brain-power and input coming from their Brazilian counter-parts."

November 5, 2013

Just found out about this company, and added them in #1 position, tentatively, awaiting confirmation that they are indeed selling product.

October 29, 2013

October 16, 2013

Moved EEFG to bottom of runners up due to input from Dansie about likely limitations in power output.

September 23, 2013

At first, they were added to position #5, ahead of Platinum Invests and Power JMD. However, noting a "hidden" wire going along the board on which the unit is sitting has put this one in serious question.

September 18, 2013

  • Moved Yildiz to bottom of Runners up. Will drop off if no report of demo within a month.
  • Removed Z Power, pending further development and validation.

Added in #8 place:

September 14, 2013

Added to runners up.

September 10, 2013

Moved Keppe removed frop the listing since conventional ceiling fans are very inefficient, so a 4x comparison to them isn't necessarily an indication of overunity. The Keppe Motor website describes the motors as being 90% efficient.

September 6, 2013

Bumped Keppe Motor into the Top 5 in #1 spot.

August 2, 2012

Moved this one up for alleged progress. Still needs validation that they are actually delivering.

Streamlining/triming down the runners up by dropping the following:

  • Former Top 5, Exposé:
Featured / Buyer Beware: Noble Gas Engines > PlasmERG >
Part I: My Concerns About Inteligentry - Here I enumerate several concerns, including the perpetual postponement of manufacturers being shown how to run their engines; encouraging people to buy stock to get their license so the money doesn't go in escrow; John's ignoring great suggestions for the technology and the company; a timeline that evinces a lack of understanding of the steps involved in taking something to market. (PESN; August 21, 2012)

June 20, 2013

Removed the following from "Runners up" for lack of progress.

June 19, 2013

Added near top of Q-Mo-Gen page, just ahead of Power JMD

  • Featured: Electromagnetic > Q-Mo-Gens >
E-MAG Magnetic Propulsion Engine by Platinum Invests Group - A company out of Spain called, Platinum Invests Group, headed by Dr. Umberto Stranieri, appears to have an exotic free energy generator system they call E-MAG that involves magnetic propulsion, which appears to be approaching market readiness. They also have a "molecular dissociation via plasma" technology already implemented. (PESWiki; June 19, 2013)

June 18, 2013

Added near top of Q-Mo-Gen page.

June 4, 2013

Added to runners up in position 7. Likely to move up/down once we have more info about cost and nearness/distance from market.

May 17, 2013

Moved E-Cat into #2 position per this story:

Moved Yildiz down to #5 because of not being able to get out of own worst enemy mode. The June demo may be pushed back.

April 13, 2013

Considering a new #1; and reasons for reducing the ranking of the Yildiz motor.

Mr. Yildiz' weight is diminishing for the following reasons:

  • He's not as close as I had thought to being ready for production.
  • It is difficult to work with him; and this is one of the primary reasons he still is not in the market though he's had this technology developed well enough to bring in funding for at least 15 years. There is some good talent coming forward to help him now, which will take the edge off of this weakness; but it is still a significant drawback.
  • The motor will not be easy to replicate. Too many magnets, too easy to not get them just right.
  • Though it could be good for an open license, the difficulty of replicating will make it less easy to have it go viral.

April 4, 2013

Moved Defkalion to #3 and E-Cat down to #6

  • Featured / Top 5: Cold Fusion > Defkalion >
Defkalion lying low, preparing for some big splashes - Defkalion is tackling around 20 major applications of their LENR reactor through contracts with several licensees, including some major players. Price point expected to be around 1/10 of what we presently pay for power. First product expected by second quarter 2014. Public reactor demo expected for NI Week in August. (PESN; April 4, 2013)

March 12, 2013

I've moved a few things around. I moved Yildiz up from #3 to #2, since his public validation is coming up soon, and he is likely to open license the lower power versions of his design, which would make that technology available for development

I moved eCat down a couple of notches since 1) they seem to be delayed a lot, and 2) their focus seems to be more on the big players than on the lay people.

I added Keshe into the mix in position #3. Call it a gamble. But their first products are supposed to be released soon. Let's see.

Steorn drops to 5 with Keshe coming above them, due to how far away Steorn is from market.

I added Kapagen into the runners up in position #6, due to how close they seem to be to having a plan that can be replicated.

I dropped Defkalion below Brillouin since Defkalion seems to be set back quite a ways with their move to Vancouver.

The next 2-3 weeks should see more movement in this list as some of these stories play out and either prove out or pass out.

-- SilverThunder 21:24, 12 March 2013 (PDT)

January 24, 2013

I put Keppe in position 6, since they are now in the market with an open source motor design, and have demonstrated overunity in their advanced design, with the possibility of maybe self-looping it in not too long from now.

  • Featured / OS: Electromagnetic > Keppe >
Keppe Motor is in Open Source Production - The Keppe motor runs cool, has very high and consistent efficiency across all speeds, and is easy to make. More importantly, the group behind it has figured out the secrets to getting along with one another, concepts that can transform our world for good. (PESN; January 23, 2013)

January 4, 2013

Moved NRGLab down to #6 in runners up due to insufficient data and some questionable business strategies as well as secrecy in business personnel.

Considering this one for #3 position:

  • Featured / Top 5: Magnet Motors > Yildiz >
BSMH-Yildiz' All-Magnet-Motor 30-Day University Test Pending - This month, a leading European university will be conducting a thorough, academically-rigorous, peer-reviewed, independent, scientific test of Turkish Inventor, Muammer Yildiz' all-magnet motor in an isolated room at the university. Not only will this provide the validation Yildiz needs to get funding for a patent, but it will open a new scientific revolution. (PESN; January 4, 2013)

January 2, 2013

A synopsis of the present T5 and the highlights of the past year.

December 31, 2012

  • Featured: Solid State > Thermal Electric >
NRGLab's SH Box weighs in at #3 in Top 5 - My reasons include: good price point: $0.03/kW-h; portable, solid-state, 24/7/365 constant; strong independent validation, including by TUV; strong business team and plan (not that I agree with the strategy); licensing the technology in a non-disruptive approach; science is not too much of a stretch; nearness to market (2014). (PESWiki; December 31, 2012)

My reasons for putting this technology in our Top 5 Exotic Free Energy Technologies listing include:

  • Good price point: $0.03/kW-h;
  • Portable, solid-state, 24/7/365 constant, with load-following attributes;
  • Strong independent validation, including by TUV, published for public review, including both the identity of the parties as well as the protocol of the tests and the results;
  • Strong business team and plan (not that I agree with the strategy);
  • Licensing the technology in a non-disruptive approach;
  • Science is not too much of a stretch, providing a bridge for the more radical stuff emerging;
  • Nearness to market (first 100,000 units in 2014).

My reasons for criticism are that they are too much of a mindset of working within the existing [corrupt] powers that be, propping up governments and central power grids, instead of angling for the "distributed" power generation for which their technology is capable, bringing power to the people. That they are going to the developing world first, gives them some redemption in this regard, but I hope that soon they will see the need to change their strategy to focus on distributed applications.

If they were closer to market, they could be higher in the Top 5.

Also, I'm not sure that this technology qualifies as an "exotic" genre, since the science doesn't seem to be that much of a leap from established principles. It's just a new PV crystal recipe that doesn't require the sun. Maverick, but not exotic.

The silence on this technology in the mainstream news, though, is a fairly good indicator that this could be maverick enough to be exotic. However, it could just be that we are getting the scoop on this one, and the mainstream will catch up. Let's see how this plays out. If it is not "exotic", then we wish them well, but they will not belong in our Top 5 Exotics list.

December 29, 2012

Moved Keshe way down on the runners up list due to these two developments:

December 17, 2012

This one is placed at the top of the several companies/groups listed on the Directory:Motor-Generator Self-Looped with Usable Energy Left Over page, which is sitting at the #1 spot in the Top 5. Their third party validation is expected in about 3 weeks. Going on sale in January, 2013. When that validation is completed, we'll list them separately in the Top 5 in #1 position, and will put the others in #2, if we don't have a page up yet about the India group.

December 14, 2012

  • Moved Directory:Motor-Generator_Self-Looped_with_Usable_Energy_Left_Over to #1 position due to their nearness to market. Engineered and tested, now ready to go into production. Expected to emerge for distribution in April, 2013.
  • Moved what was #1, the "confidential" force multiplier system in UK out of Top 5 into a new "Wild Card" classification in the runners up, due to "(waiting...)".
  • So now, the EEFG solid state device Mark Dansie is remotely involved with moves into #5 position from runners up.

November 27, 2012

Luxury Sea dropped down in Runners Up because their launch date is pushed back to late 2013, early 2014.

  • Featured: Water > as Fuel > Luxury-Sea >
Water as Fuel -- November 2012 Update - Douglas Zork writes about the French company, Luxury Sea, which says they are still on track, but are now looking at first release of equipment in late 2013 or early 2014. A brief commentary about other water fuel technologies as well. (PESN; November 27, 2012)

November 13, 2012

EEFG moved up to position #6.

November 5, 2012

Added Newman into the "runners up" after Searl.

October 22, 2012

Now that Defkalion has finally published some of their promising data, from a reputable, independent source, I've moved Defkalion into position #5, bumping Brillouin into position #7, from #5.

Back in position #6 is the Keshe Foundation, due to the thought-provoking, Western-thought-form-busting, introspective comments received in response to my post yesterday about Keshe's "Scary" politics. The politics don't have sufficient extreme weight to warrant the removal.

October 21, 2012

Keshe Foundation removed from Top 5 runners up (was in #7 position) and from the Best Exotics for the following reason:

  • Featured: Plasma > Anti-Gravity / Propulsion / Keshe >
MT Keshe's Scary Politics - Mehran Tavakoli Keshe calls Iran, Russia, and China "peace-loving nations", and says that Israel and the nations of the West are in a "checkmate" position due to " their atrocities of past decades and ... due to the wisdom of the Chinese and Russian leadership, the Syrian president and the foresight of the Iranian government and its religious leadership..." (PESN; October 21, 2012)

September 21, 2012

Concluding my Scouting FE Technologies in Europe trip, I shifted a lot of technologies around:

In first position, I added:

  • Confidential - cheap, easy, high energy density, might open source core principle while licensing the advanced designs.

There is a rough overview of this technology in the Steorn story.

In fourth position I put

In positions 6,7,8, I put:

  • AKOIL Power Generators - The company claims to be running a villa in Europe on their technology, and that they will be selling the product commercially in 2013. They do not allow anyone to come in to see it unless they can show at least $1 million in a bank statement as evidence that they are a serious player, not just a curious onlooker, but ready to purchase or license if they like what they see.
  • Featured / Events: Plasma > Anti-Gravity / Propulsion / Keshe >
Keshe Free Energy Technology Replications Galore - M.T. Keshe said that several entities, individuals, groups, and governments, have been able to replicate the energy technology phenomenon by referring to the books and patents available from the KesheFoundation.com website. One scientist allegedly could power three towns pounds with his device. (PESN; September 1, 2012)
  • Featured / Best Exotic FE: Electrolysis / Water > as Fuel >
Luxury-Sea Boat Generates Electricity from Ocean Water - A company named Luxury-Sea is building a boat with a special device that is claimed to generate electricity from ocean water, to both produce hydrogen to fuel its engine as well as power its on-board electronics. (PESN and BeforeItsNews; December 17, 2011)

And I moved the EEFG into position 11 due to its distance from market. According to Mark Dansie on the SmartScarecrow show, it's now 2-3 years away.

September 27, 2012

Sterling's Comment: "The information I received about the Defkalion third party testing only having a duration of 2-3 hours max pertained to the March time frame. I'm glad to see that they have resolved their stability issues to some extent. But this doesn't push them up in the Top 5 runners up, considering the strengths of those ahead of them." (PESN)

September 13, 2012

Dropped to #5 in the Top 5 because it turns out that in their testing in March, they couldn't get their reactors to last longer than 2-3 hours. -- Sterling

September 11, 2010

Moved E-Cat back into position #1 due to "The 1 MW version is presently in the marketplace, being manufactured", as reflected by this subsequent story:

September 9, 2012

Added this one to number 1 position due to A) its apparent nearness to public availability, B) its ease of assembly/manufacturing and deployment worldwide since it is based on off-the-shelf components that have already been tested, certified, accepted.

  • Featured / Top 5: Electromagnetic >
Motor-Generator Self-Looped with Usable Energy Left Over - Featuring a number of systems in which a motor turns a larger output generator, and the generator is producing enough energy to keep the motor running, as well as enough left over to power other things. A starter motor, temporarily, gets it going; then it stays going until turned off. Energy source could have something to do with phase angle harvesting vacuum energy. (PESWiki; September 5, 2012)

August 21, 2012

Ingeligentry / PlasmERG was removed from Top 5 (was in #5 position) and from the Best Exotics (On October 21) for the following reason:

  • Featured / Buyer Beware: Noble Gas Engines > PlasmERG >
Part I: My Concerns About Inteligentry - Here I enumerate several concerns, including the perpetual postponement of manufacturers being shown how to run their engines; encouraging people to buy stock to get their license so the money doesn't go in escrow; John's ignoring great suggestions for the technology and the company; a timeline that evinces a lack of understanding of the steps involved in taking something to market. (PESN; August 21, 2012)

Top 5 Exotic Free Energy Technologies (more)

PESWiki covers the spectrum of clean energy technologies. While we address conventional methods such as solar, wind and geothermal; we specialize in unconventional or "exotic" modalities such as cold fusion, overunity electromagnetic motors, magnet motors, gravity motors, and vortex technologies. Here are five of the best exotic technologies we've found so far, which are closest to the market.

  1. Featured / Top 5: Plasma > Blacklight Power >
Landmark interview with Dr. Randell L. Mills of BlackLight Power - After three decades of gradual progress and breakthroughs, now Randell sees the ideal combination of components coming together to make rapid roll-out of their water-to-energy technology via hydrino formation converting light to electricity via PV panels a near-term, affordable proposition with everything in place. (PESN; July 12, 2014)
  2. Featured: LENR / Hydrogen > Production > Solar Hydrogen Trends, Inc. >
SHT publishes 3rd third-party test results -- 1345 x overunity - Solar Hydrogen Trends has now revealed the name of their third-party testers: TRC Solutions, and have published their results. TRC measured 127 cubic feet per minute (215,800 liters per hour) of 97% hydrogen being produced from water using only 414 watts of power. That's 1345 times more energy out than in. (PESN; July 22, 2014)
  3. Featured / Top 5: Fuel Efficiency > Water > as Fuel > Hydroxy >
  4. Featured / Top 5: Electromagnetic >
  5. Top 5: Nuclear > Cold Fusion >
Andrea A. Rossi Energy Catalyzer (E-Cat) - Italian inventor, Andrea Rossi's E-Cat produces useful power from a clean/safe nuclear process involving cheap and ubiquitous hydrogen and nickel at relatively low temperatures and pressures, with no residual radiation. The acquisition of E-Cat by Industrial Heat LLC, affiliated with Cherokee Investment Partners, was announced on January 24, 2014. (PESWiki; [updated February 7, 2014)
