Hello
I only present this in case you're interested in how I think, or what I believe. People can be so 'alein' (no pun intended) on the internet sometimes it's helpfull to provide some background in order to understand them better.
Synopsis
I'm very eccentric, with over 8 years of college and no degree. Even though I'm Math/Science/Computer oriented, I've read over 200 New Age/Alternative books and over 300 Fantasy books. One of my fun project lately has been researching Free Energy. I have been hampered, however, because Physics/Electrical Enginering is one of the few sciences with which I have very little (college level) experience. I figure that there are a number of 'alternative' sources for this unknown technology and have been trying to leach information from those sources.
My History
- I've always been around strange ideas and materials. When I was a child I read voraciously every fantasy book I could find from authors like CS Lewis, JRR Tolkein, and Glen Cook.
- Then I became totally disgusted with fantasy, and focused on hard science like Lasers and Masers (Although when you're 8 it's really hard to get your hands on a argon ruby pumped laser).
- Then I came across some books on hypnosis, biofeedback, and psychics such as Ingo Swan. Even though these were mostly bunk, the fact that they could be true made them palatable as something worthily of reading. I think a lot of people in the 'fringe science world' and 'new age movement' are like this. They just can't bear to waste their time reading pure fantasy (or science fiction) but will read the most god awful crap about UFO's, and other stuff because there's a (slim) chance it might be true. It was during this time that I actually managed to get out of my body (Astral Projection) a couple of times, and is probably the only reason I'm not a pure materialist now. I also managed to have several visions, premonitions, and prophetic dreams. Nothing earth shaking (and no frikin' lotto numbers either), but still a little more evidence (at least for myself) that there is more to this world than pure physical reality.
- In high school, I shifted my studies of the paranormal to psychoactive drugs. My inability to get any repeatable psychic phenomena convinced me that perhaps I needed to pull out the 'big chemical guns'. I was probably one of the few people who knew what MDMA (Ecstasy) was 10 years before it ever hit the news. Also (still not popular) drugs like Peyote (Mescaline), Mushrooms (Psilocybin), Datura (Scopolamine), DMT (DiMethyl Triptamine), LSD, and anything else an Indian or Timothy Leary might have gulped down. I should note I didn't actually take most of these and I finally gave up after coming to a few conclusions:
- If I could get out of my body at will I WOULD NEVER FRIKIN' COME BACK. I hate this body and I hate this world.
- Hallucinogenic drugs do not help develop psychic functioning, or bring about empathy and community in people. As soon as they come down they are the exact same psychically dead, selfish turds they were before taking the substance.
- Inability to have repeatable psychic phenomena suddenly doesn’t seem so tragic when can achieve infinitely repeatable coitus.
- Anyway, after reading more than 200 books in myriad new age/alternative science subjects, I got bored. I do think that these books exposed me to entirely alien and unusual ways of thinking and perceiving the world. I am constantly amazed that so many people can not conceive of things like alternate dimensions, extra dimensions, vibrations, auras, ESP, astral projection, lucid dreaming, time loops, etheric matter, reincarnation, karma, ectoplasm, channelling, and so many others. I don't claim to believe all this crap, but a least I can understand what it's supposed to be. I also started to notice the dates of various ideas, and the almost glaring amounts of plagiarism, commercialism, and idiocy from many authors. An idea that is repeated by 10 different authors might seem convincing, until you realise that one author came up with it in 1975, then two copied him in '79, then five plagiarised them in '83 and so on. (Incidentally, I see this almost exact same thing from Free Energy authors, especially from people selling books, tapes, or videos. Although if you are entertained and it didn't cost too much then who really cares anyway.)
- I got on with my 'real' life and in my spare time I read over 300 fantasy books (yes back to square one). Funny thing about reading 300 fantasy books: THERE ARE ONLY 300 FANTASY BOOKS IN THE WHOLE WORLD. Just in case there was any abstract idea about reality I couldn't grasp before, I sure as hell could now.
- So I got my groove on, got me some ducets, went to college for nine years and miraculously managed to not graduate after being a senior for four years. Now here I am doing one of the dozens of things I do for giggles in my spare time.
Free Energy
I am very 'thin blooded'. Anything below 78 F is chilly for me. In fact I've only ever felt 'good' in two places, Cancun Mexico, and Oahu Hawaii. Unfortunately I am also incredibly lazy and generally hate working when I could be reading some crap, or typing some crap on the web. Thus living in those places requires incredible amounts of shekels that I'm not willing to go earn. Now, thanks to 'Der Shrubenator' and his 'ownership society' I get to have 'Hawaiian Style' cost of living right here on the mainland thanks largely to my heating bill. So partly because I'm freezing to death in my frigid 65 F house (what no pity from you?), and partly because I really exceedingly whole heartedly absolutely fervently and manically want to hurt every energy company in America my new pet project is Free Energy.
Now I know jack about physics. (I spent several years studying chemistry in a fruitless attempt to make a drug that would expand consciousness and bring peace to humanity.) From what I can tell knowing nothing makes me perfect for the Free Energy world and prevents the 'evil forces of orthodox science' from blinding me to the simple glaring truth that one can easily see lying right there in front one [sic]. (Did I forget to mention I've read at least 100 books from obvious New Age Hucksters?)
Just let me just say here that if you're looking to make some moola by peddling bull pucky, then the New Age Movement is alive and well. Additionally you don't have to say anything that those pesky debunkers might actually be able to prove false. Just take Jesus' beatitudes, Buddha's teachings, throw in some Hindu mysticism, and maybe some benevolent space aliens, mix it all up and it's all profit baby. Also the suckers who buy your books (and tapes and videos) might actually get some peace from your scat especially if you throw in something nice about how their dead parents are happy on the Astral Plane and want them to have a nice (peaceful) life, not eat meat, and occasionally buy a book from 'JeBuHindlien The Enlightened Master from Uranus Prime'.
So even though I'm very smart (but eccentric and bohemian) and have a lots of college training, I still really don't know very much about pure physics. So why not go for the long shot and try to get some information about how to build a working Free Energy Device from 'other' sources. Even if I don't get any intuitive sparks, perhaps someone else might have them and present them here on PESW. Later I will present every method I know on ways of obtaining such information. (Or I may just get bored and make an article about poop (http://uncyclopedia.org/wiki/Poop_Cuisine) on Uncyclopedia.)
So my latest project is Free Energy and I already have several things against me:
- People have been fiddling with electricity for 200 years and no one has been able to ever make more energy from a device than they put in.
- The scientific community at best ignores, at worst mercilessly attacks anyone even trying to research Free Energy.
- If it really does exist then there are probably Men In Black just waiting to shoot their deadly eye beams right through my puny tin foil hat.
- Even though I'm smart, Physics and Electricity are one of the few sciences I know almost nothing about (from formal education).
So I'd guestimate my chances of discovering a Free Energy technology about as likely as George W Bush caring about black people [sic]. So I did what any good American would do when faced with years and years of hard work and no real expectation of success; I cheated. I used a Trans Information Method and got some info (or I may have just had fun talking to myself).
